Peke A Tzu Rescue
Foster Journal

We thought all of you out there would like to see what happens here in our home so we decided we would pop in on occasion and let you know what we are doing. Some days it is just the same old routine, but other times we have a lot of excitement. We hope you enjoy hearing about our activities and seeing a few pictures. We would like to share some of our prior Christmas'
with you.
The majority of the time you will see us happy, healthy and well groomed, but there is a significant cost involved to get each of us to this point which can be viewed at Foster Vetting Costs.

Happy Holidays!

November 1, 2010

Dad just doesn’t get it. If you leave the refrigerator door cracked just a bit for even a minute we have to investigate. BJ here checking everything out. Frankly it is a bit boring. Mom and Dad have all this green stuff in the fridge, grind it all up in this strange machine and then drink it…YUK! Anything that really looks good is out of my reach. You know, like sandwich meat, a little cheese, maybe even some salami. Guess I am going to have to get a stool to get up to the good stuff!

November 2, 2010

We pupsters have been watching the election results this evening. Now, we are not Republican nor Democrat. We are just American. We get really confused about all of this. You’d think that all of these grown ups would get it together and start thinking of our citizen’s needs and not about themselves. Well, we are hoping that things will get better and we pray that whoever is elected to the House and Senate put our needs before theirs. We are a great nation and need to all come together.

November 3, 2010

We pupsters wanted to introduce you to our Mystic. This is a rare photo of her for she is so very, very shy. She was hiding under the table when Mom got the camera out. We don’t know what happened to her, but she is frightened by so many things. We pupsters give her anything she likes and do not press her to do anything she does not want to do. We try to tell her that all is well and she is safe, but Mom says it is just going to take time. We think our Mystic is so beautiful and we will just keep assuring her that she is safe and loved so very much.

November 4, 2010

This picture is rated adult pupster only! Wait, we think it cannot even be rated! How disgusting! BJ thinks he is being so cool…look at the smile on his face! Geez, the pupsters boys just keep snickering and we pupster girls want to throw up! Mom had the picture all ready to go for the foster journal and we girls went in and added our own little touch. BJ is not going to get away with this and we do not understand why Mom supports his pupstermiscuous ways!

November 5, 2010

Well, our Cricket is on her way to her Forever Home. She is normally racing and jumping and totally uncontrollable, but she put on her I am so sweet face and acted like an angel when her Mom got here. Boy, does that household have a treat in store for them. Cricket is worse than the energized bunny! Of course we pupsters will have to admit that she gives the best kisses ever and loves to be held close and cuddled…that is when she is ready for bed. Mom, Dad and we pupsters had a difficult goodbye, but the good news Cricket is close by so we will be able to see her on occasion. Love Ya Cricket!!!!

November 6, 2010

Alright Mom, Biscuit here has had enough of Champagne pushing we pupsters around. She is always first in line for treats, first in line for cuddles and the list goes on. Now, I may be small, but I am mighty and this little Pekingese girl is not going to tolerate this youngster’s selfishness anymore. I have enrolled her in pupster boot camp. Wait until she spends a few days there. She’ll come home with a totally different pupster attitude!

November 7, 2010

Whoa, we hit the jackpot again today when the mailman arrived. Our Auntie Patty send us some really neat toys that she made all on her own. Bones with squeakers, little balls with squeakers and fleece rope toys…one of our favorites. Boy, are we going to have fun with all of these. Well, that is if our big brother JD doesn’t hoard all of them. He is known for that. He gathers all the toys up and then tells us they are all his. Mom needs to have a talk with him about sharing.

November 8, 2010

Here we go again! I don’t know how many of you remember Willow, but she was this beautiful white Pekey girl with the longest tongue anyone has ever seen! She called today to see how all of us were doing and wanted to know who had taken her number one place in the “Tongue Contest”. Well, that got all of us going and of course we tried to see who could reach the furthest with our tongues. We’ll have to give the award to Candice this round for she did an exceptional job don’t you think?

November 9, 2010

Hey everyone! Our calendars are here and we pupsters just love them! Libby here thought I would just take a really close peek at them, but alas, Mom caught me. She didn’t think it was a real good idea that I was pulling them out of the box. Hey, I thought maybe there might be something wrong with a few of them and wanted to make sure our calendar buyers didn’t receive damaged goods. Of course Mom didn’t really believe that story. If you would like one of our calendars please place your order for they are going fast!

November 10, 2010

Starlene and Tommie here just checking in with everyone. Tommie here has been teaching Starlene all about how to be a lady. You know, not pottying in the house, poop is off limits, giving wonderful kisses and the list goes on. We senior kids try to help our baby sisters and brothers as much as we can. You see Starlene is special needs for she has issues with her eyes. I have been helping her adjust to drops 4 times a day and she is doing well. We will both be searching for our Forever Homes in the near future.

November 11, 2010

Well, here it is time for bed once again. We pupsters all settle in about 8 in the evening and we are such good kids Mom says. She says a little prayer to us each evening so we drift away knowing that God is looking after us. We sleep all night long, but are ready to roll at 5:00AM. After our well needed rest we are full of energy and ready to start our day. Breakfast is served at 6:30AM for it takes Mom awhile to get laundry started and prepare for the day. After our tummies are full we take a morning nap and then romp and play with each other. We love our days for they are so full of love.

November 12, 2010

Well, so much for JD hogging the toys. We thought he was bad, but Elmo wins the award. Hannah here has about had it with Elmo. If I try to touch the toy he lifts his lips at me. Like I am really afraid. I just wait it out and eventually I can dash in, grab fast and away I go. Elmo’s Pekey legs just cannot keep up with my bursts of speed. Of course I work out every day where Elmo just lays around all of the time. I keep telling him he needs more exercise!

November 13, 2010

SHHHH, don’t tell anyone I am here. I thought I would help with the laundry so jumped in to check out the goodies in here – never know what you might find. Well, now I have to figure out how to get out of this without Mom knowing about it. All the other pupsters are standing there laughing and saying “ You are going to get in trouble, You are going to get in trouble, ha, ha ha!” You just wait until I figure out my escape – they’ll wish they had helped me. I will steal every one of their treats and hide them just for myself. No more being nice to them – when one of us pupsters is in a predicament we should stand united.

November 14, 2010

Well, Peace had the cubicle beside Mom all to himself today..that is unusual for there are normally two of us trying to take up the space. Of course we told Mom that Peace is letting out a very low growl to warn us off and she isn’t hearing him. Mom doesn’t believe us for she thinks Peace is a little angel. Boy, does she have her wires crossed! He certainly has her fooled.

November 15, 2010

Hey, it wasn’t Jorja here that was messin’ with the fake flower arrangement, no sirree!! Had to have been one of the other pupsters. Besides, if Dad would quit letting me on the table I wouldn’t – oh, excuse me, one of the other pupsters wouldn’t be tempted to get into things they are not supposed to be in. I was just laying here hanging out minding my own business and all of a sudden this flower appeared in front of me. I know it was Otis that did it, or it could have been Shilo, he is always into something. Now, everyone out there believes me don’t they – look at this sweet, innocent little face.

November 16, 2010

Goodie, goodie goodie! The postman delivered a surprise box to us again today. We all get so excited and as you can see jump right in the box. We can’t make up our minds which toy we want to play with first. Guess Mom will have to supervise. Thank you so much Auntie Jane. Lots of hugs and cuddles coming your way!

November 17, 2010

Honest Mom, Elizabeth here had nothing to do with the disagreement. I would never cause any dissension amongst the pupster group. Why am I hiding you ask? Well, just in case you think I may have taken the toy away from Jake. Oh, oh, I think I just gave myself away, didn’t I? Well, how about we make a deal. I’ll volunteer for poop patrol for a whole month if you do not give me any time outs. You know how I hate confinement!

November 19, 2010

Today Suki and Brandy had some very special visitors. They both were in front of the mirror making themselves beautiful for a couple of hours this morning. Geez, no one could get into the bathroom! One of them will be going to their Forever Home. Both Brandy and Suki put on a show like you wouldn’t believe! We shall see who made the best impression, although in our minds they are both irresistible.

November 20, 2010

Yoohoo Aiden, we keep telling you that shoes are off limits, but you do not seem to be listening. OK, we will go through the rules again. Number 1 – always go outside to potty. Number 2 - do not harass the other pupsters - Number 3 – only chew on designated toys, this does not include shoes, chairs or rugs. Number 4 – soft kisses are fine on the face, but do not nip noses. Number 5 – do not cry constantly if you deserve a 5 minute time out, face it like a man pupster. Number 6 – do not dive in and out the doggy door, it is to be used for necessities such as pottying. We pupsters will probably have to add a few more to this list as you continue exploring, but for right now this should keep you away from time outs and on the good side of Mom and Dad. Just listen to us, we have been there and done it all!

November 21, 2010

Cookie here has just been sitting here and contemplating about life in general. Now, I am not complaining because life is good, but Mom I do think you could make a few changes here and there. Ummmm, I think that when treats are passed out I should be first because I get close to fainting when I have to wait too long. Could you please take me off poop patrol…I really have a weak stomach you know. Also, I do have back issues so feel I should get the biggest and most comfortable bed. Now, let me see what else there may be…why are you looking at me that way? OK, OK, I can see that I am getting nowhere here. Back to contemplating!

November 22, 2010

Elmo here and I am going to file a complaint. Mom you tell us to share, but Devas does not know what the word means when it comes to toys. He thinks he is so cool. He pounces on the toy, puts his butt in the air and then growls at anyone who comes near him. Now I reviewed our pupster manual and it clearly states that this is against pupster policy. Would you please talk to Devas and I feel he needs a BIG timeout!

November 23, 2010

Mommmmmmm! Celia is blocking the doggy door again. I know you have told me many, many times, “Jasper, you need to respect the pupster girls”, but this is getting totally out of hand. I have my legs crossed here and I can’t get outside to do my duties. Now, if I have an accident it will not be my fault. I really think that you need to talk to Celia about this, girl or not. She may be fooling you, but she doesn’t fool the rest of us pupsters. She can move really fast whenever there is a treat involved, haven’t you noticed? This leisurely walk out the doggy door is ridiculous. When I gotta go, I gotta go!

November 24, 2010

Jenkins here and I guess I should have listened to the other pupsters. Noodles in particular. Mom started getting the Christmas belly bands out and Noodles said run!!! He knew what she was up to and he didn’t want to be the model this time. Now I felt he didn’t know what he was barking about, but alas, here I am “Mr. Christmas Belly Band” himself. How humiliating! Someone needs to hide Mom’s camera.

November 25, 2010

Roxie reporting in with Mr. Turkey! Geez, the turkey is bigger than me! You have to know this yummy turkey was prepared by Dad for Mom seems to have an aversion to the kitchen. This will be my last Thanksgiving with Foster Mom for I leave for my forever home tomorrow. I am so excited and I know this is going to be my best Thanksgiving ever! All of us pupsters hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

November 26, 2010

Caden here wants everyone to know that I was coerced into doing this. Mom said no more treats unless I agreed to wear a Detroit Lions hat and pose. Boy, is this embarrassing. Mom keeps saying someday they will win. I told her I would rather be wearing another team hat…you know, like a team that knows how to play football and win? She asked me where my loyalty is at. I told her the same place Dad’s was…with the winners!

November 27, 2010

Yeh Mom, you could say Estee here is just a little upset at this moment. I was all snuggled in, nice and comfortable and Bali plops his big butt down right beside me and then has the audacity to use me as his pillow. I know you tell us that we need to share, but I think Bali has taken this to the extreme. He ain’t no lightweight you know. Could you please have a talk with him so that I can get some rest?

November 28, 2010

So is this look enough to scare everyone off? Crissy here doing her “If you come near me to touch my toy, I’ll kick your butt look”. Pretty impressive don’t you think? I had to practice at this for quite some time to get it just perfect. It sure works with the other pupsters. They skirt around me like I was contagious or something. I am perfecting some more ferocious looks also.

November 29, 2010

OK Mom, it is time for you to have another talk with Precious. She has this obsession with licking us. Now she tries to tell us she is just giving us a bath which will save you time. How stupid does she think we are? Marik here has had enough. For the past two days she has been hunting me down, gets me pinned in a doggy bed and licks away….how disgusting. I have mentioned this before and you never discipline her…she gets away with everything! Now I am trying to be a gentlepupster about this, but my patience is wearing very thin!

November 30, 2010

Purple, purple, purple!!!! Wow, we do not know what to do with all of the purple toys! We are so excited we can’t stand ourselves! This box came today and when we opened it we pupsters literally flipped out! Our Auntie Dee (yep, you are officially adopted) sent this wonderful surprise for us. She actually went on the hunt for our favorite colored toys. We thought we would do a slide show for everyone so you could see the fun we had. What a wonderful Christmas present. Wish we could reach out and cover Auntie Dee with kisses right now!

You are listening to the beautiful and original piano rendition of
the Christmas Carol, "Winter Wonderland" played by Keith Brown.
