Forever Home Update January 3, 2023 Jan, Katie was so good on our drive home. She stayed in my lap and I just massaged her back and head all the way home She spent sometime sniffing and checking out her new home. She likes to follow us around the house to see what's going on. For her first day she adapted as well as can be expected. I will keep you informed on her progress. Laurie January 4, 2023 Good afternoon! Katie slept the night in our bed. Once she settled down she didn't jump down. I have to tell you our nightstand has mirrors on it. She could see her reflection and was trying to figure out why she could see a dog but the dog never came near her. She also met my neighbor and enjoyed the attention she received from her. She loves following us around the house to see what we are doing. She has been doing her business outside and so far no accidents in the house. I'm so happy that she appears to be adjusting to her new home. She deserves to have a happy new life. Love, Laurie January 5, 2023 Hi Jan, Today Katie is playing with her toys. She likes the stuffed lamb we bought her. She carries it around looking for a place to hide it. She has her tail curled up and walks with a pep in her step. She is adjusting well. Laurie January 10, 2023 Katie saw the vet today... She still has slight yeast infection in her ears. So I got drops to apply. She got her Bordetella and Flu vaccine. She got her fecal test done and we bought Simparia for her flea, tick & heartworm. She was so good. Katie has been adjusting well to her new home. Her personality is coming out and she can make us laugh. I'm so thankful that you let us adopt her.. Laurie January 23, 2023 Katie is doing just great!! She loves going for a walk. We go over to the neighbor's house and visit. The neighbor is going to watch her for a couple of hours next week. I want Katie to be socialized with other people. I want her not to be anxious if we're not around. Just wanted to let you know about her progress. Laurie February 2, 2023 Katie loves running in the snow!! She has graduated from being on the leash when we go outside in the backyard to go potty. She now understands that when we head back towards the house she climbs up the steps and waits at the back door. We clean her paws off and inside she’s goes to get her treat. She is such a joy and is a fast learner. I hope little Levi has found a good home. Hugs and kisses from Katie February 17, 2023 Hi Jan! Just wanted to send you a picture of our Katie girl. She is starting to play games with me. I throw her stuffed lamb into the kitchen she chases it and brings it back to me. She is so proud of herself. We play this game a few times a day.
