Forever Home Update April 6, 2022 Hi Jan, Well we tried a puppy playpen for the night. Put her bed and quilt in it. She slept like a baby and our kittie was happy and could roam free and sleep in the livingroom. I still slept on the couch and kept checking on her. She did great and I slept better. Wherever we are, she follows. Just so precious. It's like having 2 shadows. Timmy and Solana with Samantha there part of the time. We are going up north next week for a few days, so she will go on an adventure. We just love her so so much. She really is special. Have a good night. Solana is sending a hug. Deb April 11, 2022 Dear Auntie Jan, My suitcase is packed and I am going on my first vacation tomorrow. I miss you but I am so loving my new home. I went to my brother Tommy's doctor today and I have a slight kidney issue, but I'll have my dental work done first and another test on my kidneys. I've gained 8 ounces and need to gain a bit more. My Mama and Dan are pretty happy with my results. Sending a hug. Solana April 14, 2022 Hi Auntie Jan, I'm doing pretty good on my first vacation. I did real well in the 4 hour car ride. We stopped 2 times for potty breaks. My brother Timmy watches out for me. I only went to nip my sister kittie one time. Mama so told me no no. I have seen my first Great Lake, Lake Huron in St Ignace. This is my new Mama and Dans happy place. I'm doing pretty good on the leash to go potty outside here. Timmy shows me all around. I think it is Timmy's and Samantha's happy place also. When Mama retires next year, we will move to our happy place. We go back home in the morning. Mama and I are sending you a hug. Love, Solana April 18, 2022 Hi Jan, Got the pups groomed and haircuts. My friend is a dog groomer. Both pups look so cute. Solana is doing really well. We love her more each and everyday. She is so friendly to everyone. She leaves Samantha alone now. She is so good in the car. She is not home alone much, but the puppy playpen works well. She never makes potty in it and has lots of room. I broke down and bought her the pink bed. We spoil our furry kids. She and Timmy are best buds. He really looks put for her. He has one eye on her when we are in the yard. It is so cute. So so glad we adopted her.Grandsons love her. They all thought she was a puppy. It's cute seeing Grandons ranging from 20 down to 15 years old thinking she is so cute. Enjoy your night. Sending a hug, Deb July 8, 2022 Hi Jan, Hope all is well with you. We had a scare with our lil Solana last week. We were up north and gad to find a vet. Solana had a hard time breathing and started coughing. Luckily we found a very a half hour away who took her in. She had an upper respiratory infection, partial sinus infection and a bit of sn infection in her eye. It hit fast and hard. She always ate at least. We had to take her in twice that week. Best vet ever. We now have an established vet up north so something good came out of it. My poor lil girl. She is 100% better and all her medicines stopped today. Our Timmy never left her side. We went outside to go potty and he was by her at all times. I slept on the couch with her and Timmy was right next to her. It amazes me how caring he is. Solana loves him so much also. Our kittie Samantha is now Solanas buddy also. Believe that? The way it started to best buddies. We love her so so much. My lil SoSo Bean. She has Dan wrapped around her lil paw also. She is my shadow however. Sorry I haven't sent an email in awhile. Take care and we are ever so thankful to have our lil Solana. She is my Soso Bean. Just thought I would let you know how much Solana has changed. She is such a happy pup who just loves all her fenced in yards. She is tge happiest pup when Dan has she and Timmy our other Yorkie in the yard waiting for me when I get home from work. She plays with a nylon beef bone and throws it all over the house. Funny story. Our Havoc, best pup ever, we lost before we rescued our Solana came from an abusive home. He did not play at all. We bought this nylon bone and it is the only thing he played with. Now Solana loves it. When Havoc got excited he would follow me and nibble at my shoes lightly. Now she does this She and Timmy and Samantha are the best of buds. She even wants to play with our kittie whi now knows won't hurt her. She and Timmy are always side by side on the couch She is doing well on the prescription food. Her back legs have issues at times. Her poor eyes!!!! She will need 2 prescriptions and one over the counter meds for her eyes for the rest if her life. Feel so bad for her. She lives loves going in the car and is good for the 4 hour ride to St Ignace. I will retire in April and we will list our downstate home in Gregory in May. St Ignace bound we will be. We already bought enough fencing for the length of one whole side of the yard. Will purchase the other side and install it all next Spring. The pups have a huge metal fencing playpen for now for up north. They are safe. Thanks for trusting us with our little Angel. She has Dan wrapped around his lil finger, but she is a Mama's girl.
