Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

Grady
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on January 26, 2008. My name is Grady.
I am a sweet 14 lb, red/black, 3 yr old smooth coated Brussels Griffon boy. I was born on January 4, 2006.
I am a retired breeder. I am a very energetic little boy and am adjusting quickly in my foster home. I am a bit shy and sometimes need a bit of patience before I will join you in your arms. Once being held I relax and enjoy. We are working on this and before you know it I will be leaping into everyone's arms that visit just like the other pupsters. I enjoy all of the pupster's company and it is so much fun to race around in our play area with them. Oh, I forgot to mention that I only have one eye, but this does not slow me down a bit! I am looking forward to my new home where I will be lavished with love. I will need a fenced in yard and no small children please.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on leash training and house training and do well during grooming.
The tooth fairy visited me in January 2009 when I had my dental and I have 38 teeth left. I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.

I weigh 10 lbs and am a beautiful Affenpinscher girl. I am 7 yrs old, have retired from the breeding world and was born on April 25, 2001.
I am surely enjoying life here. Soft beds, good food and friends to play with. I am still a bit shy, but know that with all of the love surrounding me I will overcome this. I do enjoy being held and cuddled. Bedtime is my favorite time of the day for I get to snuggle close to Mom and Dad. I am looking forward to my new home where Mom/Dad can be home with me most of the time. I would do fine without another playmate for at times I can be a bit alpha. A fenced in yard is a must and no children please.

I am an adorable 3 yr old, 11 lb black and white Shih Tzu boy and was born on June 10, 2006.
I am a retired breeder. I am a bit shy with people I do not know, but once comfortable I will cuddle right into your arms. I love all of the other pupsters here and am always ready for playtime. I am still investigating what toys are all about, but I sure love the soft beds and yummy treats! I can't wait to meet my Forever Mom/Dad and hope that they can be home with me most of the time. A fenced in yard is a must and no children please.

I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on January 31, 2008. My name is Champagne.
I weigh 9 lbs and am a beautiful 2 yr old red, silver and black Shih Tzu girl. I was born on December 1, 2007.
I came into rescue for my Mommy died unexpectedly and I needed special around the clock care. Let me tell you I am packed full of energy! I am on the go constantly and Mom says I do not listen well at times...have no idea what she may be talking about. I do know that I can give the best kisses ever and demand my laptime and belly rubs. I love the other pupsters here, but do get in trouble on occasion when I pull too many tails. I would love a home where Mom/Dad can cuddle and love on me 24/7. I will not be able to go to my Forever Home until mid June. I had these things called hernias that need to be repaired and had my surgery in May and am doing well now. I will need a fenced in yard, would love another pupster to play with and no small children please.

I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on May 22, 2008. My name is Bailey.
I am an 12 yr old, 12 lb red Pekingese girl. I was born on May 24, 1997.
My owner was killed in an automobile accident so some friends took me in, but I did not get along well in their household so here I am with all of the PATR pupsters. I am a sweet little girl, but very alpha. I truly need my very own home where I can be pampered and cuddled. I love my quiet time with Mom and enjoy being held close. I am looking forward to my very special home.
Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. I am a sweet silver and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 12 lbs and am 5 yrs old. I was born on September 12, 2004 and am a retired breeder.
I am surely enjoying myself here with all of the pupsters. I join right in during playtime and can keep up with the best of them. I try to be a bit bossy on occasion, but Mom says she is the boss lady here and I listen well to her advice. I am searching for a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me most of the time. I will need a fenced in yard and no children please.

I am an adorable black and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 12 lbs and am 4 yrs old. I was born on November 10, 2005 and have retired from the breeding world.
I am a sweet, loving little girl and have Mom and Dad wrapped right around my little paws. Laptime and cuddles are the favorite part of my day. I get along well with all of the other pupsters and love to romp and play. I love to cuddle close to Mom and Dad at night and enjoy stealing their pillow space. I would love a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me 24/7 and I definitely need a fenced in area. A pupster sister or brother would be great. I prefer a home without small children.

I am a handsome 2 yr old, 13 lb Shih Tzu boy. I was born on April 6, 2006 and am a retired breeder.
Mom says I am the most handsome Shih Tzu boy she has ever seen. Of course I have caught on to her. She tells all of us boys that, but I will have to admit I may be a few notches above the rest, in my opinion anyway. I am a very loving little boy, but am a bit shy when I first meet someone new. I love all of the other pupsters here and am enjoying all of the toys. My favorite time is when we go to bed for I can snuggle up close to Mom and Dad. I am looking forward to my Forever Home where Mom/Dad can be home with me most of the time. I will need a fenced in area to romp and play in and no small children please.

Tora
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on July 2, 2008. My name is Tora.
I am an 12 yr old tri-colored Chinese Crested hairless girl and I weigh 12 lbs. I was born on December 15, 1997.
I am a retired breeder. I have a sweet and loving nature, but am very, very shy. Mom keeps telling me that one day I will realize how much I am truly loved and will be bouncing into her lap just like all of the other pupsters. I love all of the other pupsters here and snuggling up close to them at bedtime is the best. I need to gain a bit of weight, but that shouldn't be too difficult with all of the great food that is offered to me. I have a lot of love to give someone and can't wait to find a wonderful home. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7. A fenced in yard would be great and no small children please.

I am a 12 lb, tri-colored, 4 yr old Shih Tzu Mix boy. I was born on March 7, 2005.
My Mom's husband passed away and she could not afford to keep me. I am a sweet, but shy little boy. I enjoy the other pupsters here, the toys are great and I love the soft beds. I just am not too sure about life right now, but Mom and Dad are working with me on that. Once I am in their arms I realize I am safe and give soft feathery kisses. I would like a home where Mom/Dad are home with me most of the time, a fenced in yard is a must and no small children. I would be contented to be the one and only.
