Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

Reese
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on September 26, 2008. My name is Reese.
I am an adorable 1 yr old chocolate Shih Tzu boy. I weigh 5 lbs and was born on July 21, 2008.
I was turned over to PATR due to not being to eliminate my poop properly. With treatment this has been resolved. I am not being conceited when I say that I am the sweetest, most cuddly little boy for Mom and Dad tell me that every day. Mom says I have eyes that just melt your heart. Now, I can be a bit mischievous at times, but we all know that is what puppies are all about. I love belly rubs and cuddles and enjoy romping and playing with the other pupsters. I will need a fenced in area, another pupster to play with would be great and no small children please.
To supply all of the nutrients I need as a puppy, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and do well during grooming.
I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $600.

I am a sweet 1 yr old gold and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 8 lbs. I was born on May 15, 2008.
Due to health issues, my owner asked PATR to take me into their care. I am surely enjoying myself here with all of the pupsters. I join right in during playtime and can keep up with the best of them. I freely give my sweet kisses to anyone who cuddles me close. I love to cuddle close to Mom and Dad at night for all of my belly rubs. I am searching for a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me 24/7. I would love another pupster to play with, a fenced in yard is a must and no children please.

I am a sweet 4 yr old liver and white Shih Tzu boy. I weigh 13 lbs and was born on December 24, 2005.
Due to health reasons my owner released me into the care of PATR. I am a sweet lovable little boy and am packed full of energy. I love to romp and play with the other pupsters and toys are my passion. I enjoy laptime and give the best kisses ever. Mom says I have the most adorable smile she has ever seen. I am looking forward to my Forever Home where Mom/Dad can be home with me most of the time. I would love another pupster to play with, a fenced in yard is a must and I will not be placed with children.

I am a handsome 4 yr old, 16 lb gold and white Shih Tzu boy. I was born on April 11, 2004. I am a retired breeder.
I am a lovable, gentle little boy who enjoys laptime and cuddles. I get along wonderfully with all of the other pupsters. I enjoy being outside and observing all that is going on around me. I have Pigmentary Keratitis and Epiphora (excessive tearing). I am on eye medications 3 times per day. I know there is a special home just waiting for me where I will be loved beyond measure. I would like a fenced in yard, another pupster to play with and no children please.

I am a beautiful 12 lb, 4 yr old black and white Shih Tzu girl. I was born on December 22, 2005. Due to health reasons my owner released me into the care of PATR.
I am a loving little girl who loves lots and lots of kisses and cuddles. I do fairly well with the other pupsters, but can be a bit alpha. I enjoy cuddling close to Mom and Dad at night. I would love a Mom and Dad that could lavish me with love. I would be fine being the one and only or have a sister or brother that is non alpha. I prefer no children and a fenced in yard is a must.

I am an adorable 6 lb, 11 yr old Maltese boy. I am a retired breeder.
I am a very shy little boy and am learning what love and trust are all about. Mom says I will eventually realize that all is wonderful in my world. I enjoy the other pupsters and cuddle close to them during naptimes. I would love a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me 24/7. A fenced yard is a must and no children please.

Things are wonderful here and I am enjoying life to the fullest. There is always something exciting happening and I make sure I am right in the middle of it. I try to help Mom whenever she is taking pictures, working on the computer and jump right in for my lovins'. I get along great with the other pupsters and enjoy our playtimes. I just know there is a wonderful home out there for me where I will be loved forever. I am thoroughly enjoying life here. I love the other pupsters, the toys are great and I particularly like the soft, warm plush beds. My goal in life is to give out as many kisses as I can and get as many belly rubs as I can every single day. I enjoy cuddling up close to Mom and Dad at night and they just love to have me wrap my paws right around them. I would love a home where Mom/Dad can be with me most of the time. I am a 14 lb, 2 yr old black and white Shih Tzu boy. I was found wandering the streets with my brother Quentin and had chicken wire entangled in my matted coat.
I was a bit nervous when I arrived, but now I know life is good and love to be held and cuddled. I am packed full of energy and on the go most of the day. I enjoy playing with the rest of the pupsters here and am enjoying all of the toys and nice soft beds. I have already figured out the best place to sleep at night is with Mom and Dad. I can't wait to find my Forever Home where Mom and Dad can be home with me most of the time. I will need a fenced in yard and no children please.

I am a 12 lb, 3 yr old black and white Shih Tzu boy. I was found wandering the streets with my brother Otis and had chicken wire entangled in my matted coat. The chicken wire had cut into my skin so I had lacerations that needed to be stitched.
I am a sweet loving little boy once I get to know you. I am still a bit unsure about life, but by observing all of the other pupsters I realize that life is really good here and love surrounds me. I get along well with the other pupsters and enjoy playtime immensely. I also love to snuggle close to all during naptime. Mom and Dad invite me to go to bed with them every night and I am lovin' it!
