Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

Asta
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on November 14, 2008. My name is Asta.
I am a sweet 8 yr old, 13 lb, blonde and white Shih Tzu girl. I was born on April 24, 2000. I am a retired breeder.
I have settled in nicely here with all of the other pupsters. I enjoy cuddling up close to all for our naptimes. I am obsessed with soft squeaky toys and the treats here are yummy! I love to be held and cuddled and Mom and Dad's laps are my favorite place to be. At night there is nothing better than snuggling in close to Mom as we drift off to sleep. I have dry eye so receive eye medications twice a day. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 and a fenced in yard would be great. No children please.
Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and do well during grooming.
I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.

I can't wait to find my special home where I will be loved forever. I will need a fenced in yard, a Mom/Dad that can be home with me most of the time and no small children please.

I am a 10 lb, 2 yr old, brindle Shih Tzu boy. I was born on April 21, 2007. My Mom and Dad could no longer afford to care for me so here I am enjoying life with the PATR crew.
I enjoy life to the fullest. Every day brings a new adventure. There are so many things to see and do in this world you know. I love all of the other pupsters and do honor to the Shih Tzu blitz. My favorite time during the day is when Mom or Dad pick me up for lots of cuddling. I would love a home with at least one other pupster to romp and play with and really need a fenced in yard.
