Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

Trevor
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on February 7, 2009. My name is Trevor.
I am an 8 lb, 1 yr old, red sable Pomeranian boy. I was born on January 27, 2008. My Mom and Dad could no longer afford to care for me and dumped me at a shelter so here I am enjoying life with the PATR crew.
I am a bit shy when I first meet you, but once I get to know you I will share my sweet Pommy kisses with you. Mom says she thinks I have energized bunnies implanted in my body. I don't understand what she could be implying. Must be because I go and go and go! I love all of the other pupsters and playtime is my passion. I think there are built in springs in my feet also for I can jump really high. I would love a home with another pupster to play with, a Mom/Dad that could be home with me most of the time, a fenced in yard is a must and no children please.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on potty training and do fairly well during grooming.
I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $475.

I am a beautiful 12 lb, 10 yr old black and white Shih Tzu girl. I was born on February 16, 1999. I was turned over to PATR because my Mom could no longer afford to care for me.
I am enjoying being here with all of the pupsters and cuddling up next to them. I am a loving little girl who greets everyone with tail wagging ready to dole out my special kisses. I look forward to bedtime when I can snuggle close to Mom and Dad. I am looking forward to a home where Mom/Dad will be home with me 24/7. I love to romp and play in the yard so a fenced in yard is a must. I would love another pupster sister or brother to play with. No children please.
Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. I am a very sweet 5 yr old, 9 lb black and white Shih Tzu girl. I was born on January 2, 2004. I was turned over to PATR because my Mom could no longer afford to care for me.
I am a very playful, loving little girl. I enjoy kisses and cuddles and laptime is the greatest. I get along well with all of the other pupsters and can do the Shih Tzu blitz with the best of them. I love sleeping close to Mom and Dad at night and bestowing them with my special kisses. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time. I will need a fenced in area and no small children please.

I am a 14 lb, 10 yr old black and white Shih Tzu boy. I was born on January 28, 1999. I was turned over to PATR because my Mom could no longer afford to care for me.
I am a quiet little boy who only asks for lots of laptime and cuddles. I love soft plush toys and treat time is the best here. I get along great with the other pupsters and enjoy snuggling closely with them. The best part of my day is when Mom and Dad tell me it is bedtime and I cuddle up to them for the night. I only have one eye, but that does not slow me down a bit. My vision in my remaining eye is good. I went through surgery to have growths removed from my face and legs and all were non malignant. I would love a home where Mom and Dad are home with me 24/7, a fenced in yard is a must and no children please.

Blue
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on March 16, 2009. My name is Blue.
I am a handsome white 5 yr old, 12 lb Shih Tzu boy. My owner passed away and the family dumped me at a shelter where I was facing euthanization.
I am a very loving, gentle little boy who needs lots and lots of attention. I do well with the other pupsters and enjoy cuddling next to them at naptime. I suffer from separation anxiety and need someone who can be home with me 24/7 or take me with them on car rides...I love that! My lower jaw has been broken so many times my tongue will stick out but Mom says this just makes me all the more endearing. A fenced in yard would be wonderful for I love to explore. No children please.

I am a sweet loving little girl with lots and lots of energy. I enjoy romping and playing with the rest of the pupsters. I love to toss my toys in the air and then wait for Mom or Dad to fetch them for me. I can be a bit bossy at times with the other pupsters. I would love a home with a fenced in yard, a Mom/Dad that can be home with me most of the time and prefer no children please.

When I arrived I was very shy, but it didn't take long for my loving personality to emerge. I love all of the pupsters around me and enjoy cuddling close during naptimes. I am still trying to figure out what all of the toys are about. I love to be held and cuddled. Night time is the best for I get to snuggle in close to Mom and Dad. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time and another pupster to play with would be wonderful. I enjoy exploring outside so would like a fenced in yard. I am a bit shy when I first meet you, but once I get to know you I demand my share of your attention. I am packed full of energy and can keep up with the best of the pupsters. I am a bit mischievous at times...curiosity just gets the best of me. I enjoy toys, soft beds, but most of all cuddles and kisses. I would love a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me most of the time. A fenced in yard to romp and play in is a must and no small children please.

I am a bit shy when I first meet you, but once I am comfortable I am a little cuddle bug. I love to be held close and snuggle right in. I absolutely love soft toys and enjoy carrying them with me where ever I go. Tossing them in the air and shaking them is so much fun. I enjoy the other pupsters and love laying close to them during naptime. At night I share Mom's pillow with her. I love to go for walks and car rides.
