Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

Gretel
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on July 22, 2009. My name is Gretel.
I am a red, 4 lb (10-09) Shih Tzu/Poodle/Maltese girl. My Mommy who is a Maltese/Poodle and my Daddy who is a Shih Tzu were part of a puppy mill bust and my brother Hansel and I were born under the care of an animal control facility. I was born on June 28, 2009.
I am a sweet, lovable little girl packed full of energy. I am your typical puppy filled with curiosity and can be a bit mischievous. I love to race and play with all of the pupsters. Their tails really fascinate me. I just love to be loved. I am looking forward to beginning my live with my special Mom/Dad. I would love a fenced in yard to play in and no small children please.
To supply all of the nutrients I need as a puppy my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and do well during grooming.
I am current on vaccinations, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm preventative and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $750. This includes a spay deposit of $150 which will be refunded at time of spay. Spay agreement will be required at time of adoption.

I am a red, 3.5 lb (10-09) Shih Tzu/Poodle/Maltese boy. My Mommy who is a Maltese/Poodle and my Daddy who is a Shih Tzu were part of a puppy mill bust and my sister Gretel and I were born under the care of an animal control facility. I was born on June 28, 2009.
I am a lovebug who wants nothing more than lots and lots of cuddles and kisses. I do get into a few things here and there, but Mom says that is just part of being a puppy. I love the toys, the pupsters and anyone I meet. I would love a home where I have another pupster to play with, no children and a fenced in yard is a must.

Ramona
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on July 22, 2009. My name is Ramona.
I am a very sweet 11 yr old black Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 11 lbs. I was part of a puppy mill bust where I lived in cages stacked one on top of the other. I was matted to the skin and my teeth, tonsils and throat were infected.
I was very shy when I arrived, but I now know that I am safe and loved. I enjoy being held and cuddled. I am still not too sure about toys, but the other pupsters sure enjoy them. Mom tells me that will come with time. Right now my main goal is to take advantage of all the love that surrounds me for the rest of my life. My right eye is gradually shrinking due to a prior injury. The puppy miller also debarked me so I cannot enjoy barking at a bird or sounding an alarm for Mom and Dad when I think a stranger has entered the house. I am looking forward to my Forever Home where Mom/Dad will make up for the love that I never had. No children please and a fenced in yard would be really nice so that I can lounge in the sun and enjoy what I have missed out on in my life.
Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. The tooth fairy visited me in August 2009 when I had my dental and I have 18 teeth left. I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. My last bloodwork was done on 8-13-09. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.

Classy
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on August 3, 2009. My name is Classy.
I am a beautiful 2 yr old Shih Tzu girl. I am brindle and white and weigh 14 lbs. I was wandering the streets all alone, matted and flea ridden. Thank goodness for rescue angels!
I am a sweet lovable little girl. I am packed full of energy and can keep up with the best of the pupsters when they do the Shih Tzu blitz. I enjoy toys, soft beds, but most of all lots of laptime and lovin'. My favorite time of the day is in the evening when I settle in next to Mom and Dad, watch a little TV and doze off to sleep. I would love a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me most of the time. A fenced in yard to romp and play in is a must, another pupster sister or brother would be great and no small children please.

Derek
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on August 13, 2009. My name is Derek.
My name is Derek. I am a 7 lb, 8 yr old silver and gold Yorkie boy who is packed full of energy. My 8 yrs do not slow me down a bit. I was dumped at a shelter with no where to go, but here I am safe and sound searching for my special home. When I first meet you I tend to be a bit shy, but once comfortable my true personality emerges. I am a very sweet little boy who wants nothing more than lots of laptime and cuddles. I do well with the other pupsters, but am more of an observer than a player. My preference is to be with Mom or Dad wherever they are at. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time. A fenced in yard is a must and no small children please.

I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on September 3, 2009. My name is Cailin.
I am a beautiful , 12 lb (11-09) Scottish Terrier girl . I was turned over to PATR due to kennel downsizing. I was born on May 16. 2009.
I am such a sweet little girl who covers everyone I meet with lots and lots of kisses. I have definitely livened up the household for I am overflowing with energy. Do I get in trouble...yep! In fact Mom says that is my middle name. I just cannot help myself for there are just too many things that catch my attention. I love, love, love to play with the other pupsters. I do try to get a bit bossy sometimes, but Mom is teaching me this is inappropriate behavior for all of us pupsters are equal. By bedtime I am ready to snuggle in close to Mom and Dad....even try to steal their pillows. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me most of the time. I definitely need another pupster to play with and a fenced in yard is a must. I would like to go to a family that has had prior Scottie experience. No children please.

I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on January 28, 2007. My name is Shane.
I am a very sweet 2 yr old apricot Poodle boy and weigh 11 lbs and was born on November 21, 2006.
I was turned over to PATR with my 3 brothers Dolan, Hobie and Trenton by a breeder due to kennel downsizing. I love shoestrings, paper, actually anything I am not supposed to have. Have to keep life exciting you know. I love to play with the other pupsters, but am very shy and unsure of myself around people. I will need a home environment that is quiet, loving and filled with patience. I am sure there is someone out there that would love to hold me and love me forever.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products.
