Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

Jasper
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on August 12, 2006. My name is Jasper.
I am a 7 yr old, caramel and white Shih Tzu boy and weigh 14 lbs. I was born on August 10, 2002. I was having potty accidents in my home so my owners sent me to live with the other pupsters here at PATR.
I am a sweet, loving little boy and my favorite place is your lap. I love belly rubs and kisses. The pupsters here are great and I have so much fun romping and playing with them. I love all of the toys here and snuggling up in a doggy bed with the other pupsters feels so good. At night I just cuddle up to Mom and Dad in bed and think I am in heaven. I will need a fenced in yard and prefer no small children.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important.  Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am doing well with my house training, but do wear a belly band at night. I love to go for walks and do well during grooming.
I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.

Macy
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on August 23, 2006. My name is Macy.
I am a beautiful 7 yr old blonde and white Pekingese girl. I weigh 10 lbs.
My Mom had some medical issues so I came to stay with the PATR crew until I can find my Forever Home.
I am a sweet little girl and love to be held and cuddled. I enjoy being outside and love to go for walks. I play well with the other pupsters, but can be a bit alpha so being an only dog in the household would be great. I am looking forward to my new home.

Nadine
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on August 30, 2006. My name is Nadine.
I weigh 12 lbs and am a beautiful cream and white Pekingese - Chihuahua mix girl. I am 10 yrs old.
I was found as a stray and ended up in this place called a shelter. Thank goodness my rescue angels arrived for I would not be here today. I am a sweet loving little girl who just needs a lap to sit on and lots of belly rubs. I enjoy relaxing in the sun, snuggling in the doggy beds with the other pupsters and of course laying very close to Mom and Dad in bed at night. I would love a home with at least one other dog to keep me company. I would prefer no small children.
Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health.  Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. Caprice
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on September 9, 2006. My name is Caprice.
I am a very sweet 10 yr old black and silver Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 11 lbs and was born on February 27, 1999.
I have made a lot of puppies in the past, but am now looking for my very own special home. I get along wonderfully with all of the other pupsters and enjoy snuggling close to them during naptime. I am a very shy little girl and Mom and Dad have to coax me to come to them. I have been observing all of the other pupsters here and know that before long I will be leaping into Mom and Dad's arms just like they do. I would love a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 and a fenced in yard is a must. I would prefer no small children.

I am a happy, loving 6.5 lb, 10 yr old Maltese boy. I was born on February 12, 1999.
I am a retired breeder and am enjoying my retirement to the fullest! I love nothing more than being held and cuddled by Mom and Dad. The pupsters here are great and it is so much fun just settling into a warm bed cuddled up next to some of my favorite friends. Playtime is the best and I can romp and run with the best of the kids. I would really like a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 and a fenced in yard would be great.

I am a 5 lb, 9 yr old little Maltese girl. I was born on January 1, 2000.
I am a retired breeder and enjoying life here with all of the other pupsters. I am still quite shy, but once in Mom or Dad's arms I cuddle right in. I prefer to spend my day cuddled up in a bed or cubicle and observe all of the happenings around me. I would like a home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 and one other pupster friend would be great. I also will need a fenced in yard.

Brewster
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on September 13, 2006. My name is Brewster.
I am a very handsome 5 yr old, 12 lb Bichon boy. I was born on June 5, 2004.
I am a retired breeder boy and am still adjusting. I am very nervous and unsure of life and what it holds. Mom and Dad keep assuring me that I am safe and loved, but I think it is going to take me awhile to trust the humans that surround me. I do enjoy the other pupsters here and love snuggling close to them. I really need a home where Mom/Dad can be home with me all of the time and have lots of patience as I learn to trust and love. I prefer no small children and a fenced in yard is a must.

Konrad
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on September 13, 2006. My name is Konrad.
I am a very cute, 10 lb, gold and white Shih Tzu boy. I am 4 yrs old.
I was found one rainy morning by shelter employees. I had been thrown over the fence during the night. I was a mess, but the rescue angel's have turned my life around. I love to romp and play with the other pupsters and enjoy every single minute of my day. I love to cuddle close to Mom and Dad. When bed time arrives you can bet I am one of the first ones on Mom's pillow! I did have some nipping issues when I arrived, but am doing much better now. Mom says I need to concentrate more on my sweet kisses and less on trying to be the boss. Oh, and by the way I also have one blue eye which just adds even more to my personality. I would love a home with one other non alpha sister or brother. I also will need a fenced in area and no small children please.

I am a way too cute little 3 yr old Chihuahua girl. I am tri colored and weigh 6 lb. I was born on July 15, 2006.
I was turned over to PATR by a breeder due to kennel down sizing. My daddy was a long haired Chihuahua. I am a happy loving little girl and definitely let you know when I need my laptime. I love to romp and play with all of the pupsters here. I have learned that toys are really fun and then of course there are always those shoe laces! I would love a home with a fenced in yard and no small children.
