Peke A Tzu Rescue's Available Dogs

Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

Lucas
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on January 27, 2007. My name is Lucas.
I am a sweet little 8 yr old Shih Tzu boy. I am blonde with a bit of black and weigh 12 lbs.
I ended up at the shelter because I pottied in the house on occasion. I love the other pupsters here and keep up with the best of them during playtime. I am a gentle, loving little soul who only asks for a soft lap to sit in and lots of belly rubs. Mom says I have the best toothy grin ever and I try to smile for her as often as possible. I would love a home with another pupster if possible, but I could also handle being the one and only. I can't wait to meet my Forever Mom and Dad.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on my house training and do well during grooming.
I am neutered, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.

Dolan
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on January 28, 2007. My name is Dolan.
I am a very cute 3 yr old apricot Poodle boy and weigh 12 lbs and was born on November 21, 2006. I was turned over to PATR with my 3 brothers Hobie, Shane and Trenton by a breeder due to kennel downsizing. I am thoroughly enjoying myself here. There are so many pupsters to romp and play with. I have discovered the toys which are great. Of course I do get into a bit of mischief now and again. I enjoy snuggling up close to all the other pupsters for my naps. Now, some of the older pupsters may not enjoy my exuberance and playfulness, but Mom and Dad surely enjoy it. I already give the best poo poo kisses ever and just love to be held and cuddled. I would enjoy a home all to myself or with a brother/sister that is non alpha. I can't wait to find my very own Forever Home.

Trenton
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on January 28, 2007. My name is Trenton.
I am a handsome 3 yr old apricot Poodle boy and weigh 12 lbs and was born on November 21, 2006.
I was turned over to PATR with my 3 brothers Dolan, Hobie and Shane by a breeder due to kennel downsizing. At first I thought I would hang out with just my brothers when I arrived, but boy, there are some interesting pupsters here...all shapes, colors and sizes. I thought there were only apricot poodles, but Andre, Pappy and Paxton are black...strange. I am learning how wonderful it feels to be cuddled close and kissed all over. I am having the time of my life and can hardly wait to meet my new family.

Magic
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on January 28, 2007. My name is Magic.
I am a 9 yr old, 14 lb, handsome black and white Shih Tzu boy.
My owners dropped me off at this place called a shelter and never looked back. I am a sweet little boy who thoroughly enjoys life. I love to be held and cuddled and enjoy snuggling up close to Mom and Dad at night to take in a little TV before lights out. I do enjoy the other pupsters, but can be a little alpha. I enjoy going for walks and love to go for car rides. I would love a home with one other non alpha pupster to play with. I can't wait to find my special home where I can bestow my wonderful kisses on my Mom and Dad. It would be nice if I could have a fenced in yard and I prefer no small children please.
Because I am a senior, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health. Margo
I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on February 21, 2007. My name is Margo.
I am a beautiful 11 yr old black Pomeranian girl and weigh 10 lbs. I was born on December 25, 1998 and am a retired breeder.
I am still a bit unsure about life and those around me. Patience is the key with me, and once I know that you will be gentle and loving I warm up to you, relax and enjoy your gentle touch. I love the other pupsters here and keep up with the best of them during playtime. A home where Mom/Dad could be with me all of the time would be wonderful. A fenced in area is a must.

The tooth fairy visited me in December 2008 when I had my dental and I have 28 teeth left. I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on Interceptor for monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. My last bloodwork was done on 12-30-08. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.

I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on March 4, 2007. My name is Elsa.
I am a 6 yr old Maltese girl and weigh 7 lbs. I was born on July 8, 2003. I am a retired breeder.
I am a sweet little girl although a bit shy. I have been having fun playing with all of the other pupsters. I love it outside and can keep up with the best of the pupsters when we play "Catch me if you can". I enjoy being held and loved and give soft sweet Maltese kisses. I would love a home with another pupster to play with, a fenced yard to run and romp in and a Mom/Dad that could be with me most of the day.

I am a beautiful 9 yr old Maltese girl and weigh 9 lbs. I was born on November 11, 2000.
I am a retired breeder. Things are wonderful here and I am enjoying life to the fullest. There is always something exciting happening and I make sure I am right in the middle of it. I try to help Mom whenever she is taking pictures, working on the computer and jump right in for my lovins'. I get along great with the other pupsters and enjoy our playtimes. I just know there is a wonderful home out there for me where I will be loved forever. It would be nice to have a Mom/Dad that could be home with me most of the time, another pupster to play with and a fenced in yard.

I am a very cute 8 lb, 6 yr old Maltese girl. I was born on July 8, 2003.
I am a retired breeder. I am your typical, happy, bouncy little Maltese. I was a bit shy at first when I arrived here, but once I found out that there is always a lap available and arms to hug me I decided life was very good. I enjoy the company of the other pupsters, but at times can be a bit bossy. I am enjoying playing with toys and by watching the other pupsters have learned that treat time is the best! I am looking forward to my new home and hope to find a Mom/Dad that will hold me and love me forever. I would love a fenced in yard and a pupster friend to play with.

I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on March 4, 2007. My name is Bishop.
I am an 11 lb, 6 yr old gold and white Shih Tzu boy. I was born on October 3, 2003 and have retired from the breeding world.
I have settled right in with the rest of the crew here and am enjoying life to the fullest. The toys are plentiful, the beds are cushy and there are always warm arms to surround me. The pupster guys are really nice to me and boy, are there some cute pupster girls here. I am looking forward to meeting my Mom/Dad and know my very special home is out there somewhere. I would love another pupster to play with and a fenced in yard to play in.
