Peke A Tzu Rescue's Happy Endings 2020

Tilly (Shih Tzu) joined us in October 2019. Tilly was turned over to PATR due to kennel downsizing by her breeder. She was one busy little girl, our Tilly. She was just packed full of energy and one happy little girl. She loved all of the other pupsters and if someone was ready to play she was right there. She also loved to be held and cuddled and gave the best kisses ever.

Tilly is being lavished with love by her Forever Mom & Dad Melissa and Karl and is enjoying playing with her pupster sisters Tinky and Sarah in Michigan.

Feebi (fka FUDGE Shih Tzu) joined us in March 2018. Feebi was a retired breeder. She was sight impaired, but her lack of sight did not slow her down a bit. She was an amazing little girl and so full of love. She has joined our Dezi for they were best friends and Dezi really missed her and vice versa. We are so happy they are together living the life of queens.

Fudge is lovin' her new life with her Forever Mom & Dad Barb & Cary and is thrilled to be reunited with Dezi in Michigan.

Sully (Shih Tzu) joined us in August 2019. Sully joined PATR due to agressive behavior with cats in the household. He was very nervous and unsure of himself initially, but as he became more comfortable this absolutely sweet, funny little boy emerged. He was playful, loving and gave the best kisses! We so enjoyed his company and will miss him.

Sully is so happy with his Forever Mom & Dad Joyce & Perry in Michigan.

Sabella (fka TRACIE Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Sabella had retired from the breeding world. She was an absolute sweetheart although very shy. She gradually came out of her shell and was an absolute joy. She loved playing with the other pupsters and so loved any attention that came her way. Her beautiful eyes could melt any heart.

Sabella is beyond spoiled by her Forever Mom & Dad Carma & Doug in Michigan.

Leeah ( Shih Tzu) joined us in August 2015. Leeah was a retired breeder and very, very shy. It took quite some time for her to trust those around her. She also suffered from vestibular disease (head tilting). She was such a sweet loving little girl and we are thrilled she finally has her very own home. We are really going to miss our adorable little girl.

Leeah adores her Forever Mom Linda, loves her pupster sister Bradi and feline sister Delaney in Michigan.

Zeus (Yorkshire Terrier) joined us in December 2019. Zeus' breeder passed away unexpectedly so he joined PATR. Zeus was a very shy little guy. As the days passed he became more confident. He began to play with the other pupsters and beg to be picked up. He could be quite the character. He was still a bit uneasy when he left us, but we know his Mom and Dad will take very good care of him.

Zeus is loving his new life with his Forever Mom & Dad Jen and Sean in Illinois.

Mona Lisa (fka AUBREY Shih Tzu) and Jean Ralphio (fka PEPSI Shih Tzu) joined us in April 2020. Both were turned over to PATR due to umbilical and inguinal hernias. Now we are here to tell you these two little baby's batteries never ran out. They were curious about everything in their world and heard our famous saying "We don't do that here" many many times. When they did finally tire, up in our laps they would jump, curl up and go sound asleep. I think they were trying to convince us they were angels....

Mona Lisa and Jean Ralphio's Forever Mom & Dad Erica and Matthew are adjusting to so much energy being in their home in Illinois.

Willow (fka SHANDA Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Willow was a retired breeder. She was a bit shy when she first arrived, but it didn't take her long before she had us wrapped right around her little paws. All she had to do is look at us with those great big eyes and our hearts melted. We are going to miss her.

Willow has won her Forever Mom & Dad Jen and Sean's hearts and loves her pupster sister Campbell in Michigan.

Sawyer (Yorkshire Terrier) joined us in December 2019. Sawyer came into our care due to kennel downsizing. He was quite the character and full of so much energy we could hardly keep up with him. He loved romping and playing with the rest of the pupsters and enjoyed his cuddles and kisses.

Sawyer is keeping his Forever Mom & Dad Becki & Ed busy and loves snuggling his pupster sister Peanut in Michigan.

Emmitt (fka DENIM Shih Tzu) joined us in March 2019. Emmitt joined us as a puppy because he had a cleft palate. He also had recessive blue genes so his coat was very thin. This little boy totally won our hearts. He had the most amazing personality and was always happy. He brought so much joy to our lives and his kisses will never be forgotten.

Emmitt loves his Forever Mom Jennifer and is enjoying his pupster brother Wilson in Ohio.

Buster (fka BASIL Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Buster's breeder passed away and had requested that he come into our care. He was very, very shy when he arrived, but it didn't take him long to let us know what a wonderful, loving little boy he was. Every time he looked at us with those beautiful eyes we melted.

Buster has fallen in love with his Forever Mom & Dad Linda and Ralph in Michigan.

Mopsy (Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Mopsy's breeder passed away and had requested that she come into our care. For a few weeks Mopsy was very withdrawn and so frightened. Gradually she emerged from her shell and realized all was well in her life. She left us a happy, secure little girl. We shall miss her.

Mopsy has settled right in with her Forever Mom & Dad Shari and Walt in Michigan.

Frannie (Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Frannie was a retired breeder. She was very frightened and so unsure of herself for quite some time. We kept telling her time would heal and little by little she began to trust us. She was the cutest little red and white girl with absolutely beautiful eyes that just melted our hearts.

Frannie adores her Forever Mom SuzyQ in Michigan.

Percy (Yorkshire Terrier) joined us in December 2019. Percy's Mom and Dad sent Percy to us due to health issues. What an absolute joy he was! He had the cutest personality and the most handsome smile of any dog in our care. He loved to dance around on his back feet with this crazy grin on his face. We will miss our little clown.

Percy is spreading his happiness to his Forever Mom & Dad Shari and Walt and has joined our sweet Mopsy in Michigan.

Tatum (Shih Tzu) joined us in March 2020. Tatum came into our care due to having an umbilical hernia. Oh my, she was one busy little girl. She surely kept us on our toes. She loved romping and playing with the other pupsters. Tatum gave the best kisses ever and we sure are going to miss her enthusiasm for life.

Tatum has her Forever Mom & Dad Melissa and Karl wrapped right around her little paws and loves her pupster sisters Tinky and Tilly in Michigan.

Osito (fka GENTRY Shih Tzu) joined us in March 2020. What a sweet, sweet little boy. All he wanted was a soft lap to sit on and loving arms to surround him. He loved to play with the other pupsters, but his favorite place was our arms. We sure are going to miss this sweet little man.

Osito has livened up his Forever Mom Melissa's life and loves his pupster brothers Jaba and Chewbacca in Michigan.

Brenna (Shih Tzu) joined us in March 2015. Brenna was a breeder girl and arrived so, so afraid. It took nearly a year for her to become comfortable and know all was well in her life. Brenna had a heart murmur so many potential applicants passed her by. She tried so hard during her meet and greets and finally the right family recognized her beauty and lovely personality. She deserves all of the love she can get. She is an exceptional little girl.

Brenna is so in love with her Forever Mom & Dad Lorrie and Steve and enjoys cuddling with her pupster brother Andy in Michigan.

Our sweet Brenna left all of those who loved her and crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 27, 2021.

Xena (fka JAYCEE Shih Tzu) joined us in April 2020. Xena was turned over to PATR due to an umbilical hernia. She was quite the little character and such a happy girl. She definitely knew how to get our attention and she spent more than her fair share in our laps or arms. Her antics kept a smile on our faces.

Xena loves her Forever Mom & Dad Marlene and Frank and enjoys playing with her pupster sister Cleo in New York.

Chicki (Pekingese) joined us in July 2019. Chicki's Mom and Dad could no longer care for her financially so she joined the PATR crew. What an absolute joy this little girl was. She was loving, curious, playful and just loved to be loved. She put smiles on our faces daily with her clownish personality. She is missed.

Chicki has settled right in with her Forever Mom & Dad Judy and Jim in Michigan.

Zebo (Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Zebo's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Zebo was such a shy little boy, but very, very needy. With lots of love he began to respond and what a sweet, cuddly little boy he became. He was still very shy when he went home with his Mom, but he had definitely learned what being loved was all about.

Zebo has settled right in with his Mom Deb and his pupster brother Spike in Michigan.

Reuben (Shih Tzu) joined us in February 2020. Reuben was a breeder boy and came into our care due to a grade 4 heart murmer. He was one of the cutest little boys. His little eyes just melted our hearts. The more comfortable he became the more we fell in love. What a little love bug!!

Reuben has captured his Mom Deb and Dad Paul's heart and is enjoying his sister Daisy in Michigan.

Our sweet Reuben left all of those who loved him and crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 30, 2021.

Pippa (fka LOUELLA Shih Tzu) joined us in April 2020. Pippa was turned over due to kennel downsizing by her breeder. At first Pippa was quite shy, but once she got to know us she was quite the character. She was a busy little girl and loved the other pupsters here. We sure enjoyed snuggling with her and we are so happy she has found her home.

Pippa has fallen in love with her Mom Donna and Dad Mark and loves her brother Gordo in Michigan.

Gidget (fka ELLA Shih Tzu) joined us in March 2020. Gidget was turned over to PATR due to kennel downsizing by her breeder. She was an absolutely beautiful little girl just full of love. She was very, very mischievous and curious about everything around her. We enjoyed her stay with us.

Gidget is keeping her Forever Mom & Dad Kaye and Derek very busy and loves playing with her pupster sisters Gizzie and Gabbie in Wisconsin.

Toby (fka BAXTER Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Baxter's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Once comfortable Baxter's personality emerged. He was quite the character and a very happy little boy. Tail always wagging he wrapped us right around his little paws.

Toby is thoroughly enjoying life with his Mom Deb in Illinois.

Rudy (fka FLASH Shih Tzu) joined us in September 2017. Rudy was a retired breeder and very unsocialized. He was frightened of human contact, fast movement, noises and the list goes on. His sad little eyes just melted our hearts. It took nearly two years working with Rudy before he became more confident. He was such a sweet little man and we are thrilled he found a wonderful home.

Rudy has found a fantastic, loving home with his Mom Shawn, his pupster sister Suzee and his feline siblings Bella, Cooper, Daisy, Kent and Higgins in Michigan.

Jolie (Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Jolie's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. She was so shy and afraid it just broke our hearts. We showered her with love and she began to realize that life was good. She'd look at us with her beautiful brown eyes and our hearts would melt. She certainly captured our hearts.

Jolie knows she is loved by her Forever Mom & Dad Amy and Tony and is enjoying her pupster sisters Bree and Bella in Michigan.

Emma (Yorkshire Terrier) joined us in December 2019. Emma's Dad was very ill and could not care for her any longer. She was such a sweet little girl and loved to be loved. She wasn't very fond of the other babies here and felt she was quite the "Diva". It was fun to watch her strut her stuff. We know she is going to be very happy being the one and only.

Emma is thrilled to have her Mom Dena's lap all to her self in Michigan.

Arianne (Shih Tzu) joined us in September 2017. Arianne was a retired breeder and arrived when she was 8 years old. She had been kenneled her whole life and was terrified. We do not place a baby like Arianne quickly. We take all of the time we need to assure us that they are confident within themselves before they leave us. Slowly and bit by bit Arianne became more confident and we finally felt she was ready for her perfect home. We are going to miss her so.

Arianne has settled in quickly and loves her Forever Mom & Dad Mary and Ronald in Michigan.

Lainy (Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Lainy's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Lainy had known nothing but kennel life and having puppies. Joining us was quite traumatic at first. Babies like Lainy have no idea what freedom is all about and they are fearful. Lainy gradually responded to our love. When she left for her home she knew what belly rubs were all about and that she was loved beyond measure.

Lainy adores her Mom Becky and enjoys the company of her pupster sister Bella in Michigan.

Pixie (fka POPPY Yorkshire Terrier) joined us in March 2020. Pixie's breeder felt she was too small to be a Mommy so turned her over to PATR to find a great home for her. Pixie was an absolute angel and that is saying a lot for a Yorkie if you know what we mean. She just wanted to be held and cuddled. At night she took over our pillows immediately. She sure had us wrapped right around her little paws.

Pixie could not have found a better home than with her Forever Mom & Dad Pam and Dan and she has joined three of our other Yorkie babies Finnegan, Mimzy, Sheridan and Hyacinth in Michigan.

Stella (fka CABELLA Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Stella's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Stella was frightened and so unsure of herself. We took one look at her face and our hearts melted. Oh, those eyes! We worked with Stella for several months before we felt she was confident enough to begin searching for her home.

Stella has settled right in with her Forever Mom & Dad Cyndi and Greg and she has joined our sweet Chloey in Michigan.

Tabitha (Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Tabitha's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Tabitha had several litters of puppies and was not familiar with being free to come and go at will. It took several weeks for her to become comfortable. She was the most beautiful little chocolate girl with a face that was made to smooch. Her personality gradually emerged and what a sweet, gentle, loving little girl she was.

Tabitha is doing well with her Mom Lindell and is already cuddling with her pupster sister Coco in Ohio.

Tia (fka TIARA Shih Tzu) joined us in April 2020. Tia was turned over to PATR by her breeder due to an umbilical hernia. She was a young baby and packed full of energy. She was on the go constantly and was normally in the lead with the Shih Tzu blitz. Tia loved to be held and cuddled and gave the best kisses ever.

Tia has definitely livened up her Forever Mom & Dad Linda and Mike's life and loves her pupster sisters Taffy and Bell in Michigan.

Shadow (fka MISCHIEF Shih Tzu) joined us in June 2020. Shadow joined us due to kennel downsizing by his breeder. He was a handsome little guy who definitely lived up to his name. He heard our favorite saying here "We do not do that here" more times than we can count. You just couldn't get upset with him though. He would come to us with tail wagging and look up at us with those little eyes with a look of I am so sorry! Of course he was forgiven every time. We shall miss his love for life.

Shadow is very, very happy with his Forever Mom & Dad Billie and Tom and enjoys playing with his brother Buddy in Iowa.

Ebony (Shih Tzu) joined us in June 2020. Ebony was a retired breeder. She was the sweetest, cuddliest little girl we ever had in our care. What a little doll baby. She loved the other pupsters here and had an amazing personality. Those big eyes just melted our hearts.

Ebony has won her Forever Mom & Dad Linda and August's hearts and loves cuddling with her brother Toto and Prince in Michigan.

Gretchen (fka CHARISMA Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Gretchen's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Charisma was in bad condition physically and emotionally. She was matted so badly that we had to strip her to the skin. She had a deep infection on her left shoulder and she was so, so frightened. Gretchen remained with us for seven months because she needed time to heal. Even though she had such a horrible past it did not effect her gentle nature. She was such a sweet sweet girl. She still had a ways to go, but we found a wonderful home where we knew she could continue down the path to healing.

Gretchen is doing amazingly well with her Forever Mom & Dad Rita and Rhys in Michigan.

Lucy (fka NATTIE Shih Tzu) joined us in April 2020. Lucy was turned over by her breeder due to an umbilical hernia and recessive blue genes. Lucy had no hair on her ears and only the white part of her coat grew. She was quite the little character and had a personality that was so endearing. And oh those eyes! She was busy, busy, busy, but when she tired out our lap was where she wanted to be.

It didn't take long for Nattie to have her Forever Mom & Dad Peggy and Vincent wrapped right around her little paws and loves her pupster brother Sparkey in Michigan.

Reggie (fka CUPID Shih Tzu) joined us in July 2020. Reggie was a retired breeder at 8 years old. What an absolute cutie pie. Of course we are partial to little liver lips you know. He was very, very shy, but so sweet. He loved to be held and cuddled. He did well with the other babies and loved napping with them. Our lap was his favorite spot.

Cupid is so happy to be in his very own home with his Forever Mom & Dad Barb & Cary and has joined our Feebi and Dezi in Michigan.

Wade (fka RAMBLER Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2013. Wade was a retired breeder and absolutely terrified of humans. He also was very cautious around any of the pupsters. We knew he had a long road ahead of him to heal before we could consider finding a home for him. We were right and as the years passed, little by little by little he began healing. When he left us he was a loving, brave and confident little man. We miss him so!

Wade really loves his Mom Shawn, his pupster sister Suzee, his pupster brother Rudy one of our babies and his feline siblings Bella, Cooper, Daisy, Kent and Higgins in Michigan.

Charlie (fka TRESSA Shih Tzu) joined us in December 2019. Charlie's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Charlie was nervous, but young enough that her kennel confinement had not taken a huge toll on her. She adjusted quickly and was such a happy little girl. She loved romping and playing with the other pupsters, was very energetic and kept us on her toes. Her kisses were very special.

Charlie has livened up her Forever Mom & Dad Julie & John's life and is keeping her pupster brother Bandit busy in Michigan.

Benzie (fka TONKA Shih Tzu) joined us in April 2020. Benzie was turned over by his breeder because he had a cleft palate. He was a way too cute red and white little boy and he definitely won our hearts. He was Mr. Personality and was so loving. He was usually in the lead for the Shih Tzu Blitz and loved to play with the other pupsters.

Benzie has captured his Mom Janice's heart in Michigan.

Oakley (Shih Tzu) joined us in July 2020. Oakley was a retired breeder. He was very shy when he first arrived, but it didn't take him long to get comfortable. He was such a funny little guy with a great personality. He enjoyed every day with tail wagging and a smile on his face. He loved the other pupsters and was quite the player. We enjoyed having him here with us.

Oakley is filling his Mom Sara's heart with joy in Michigan.

Torie (Shih Tzu) joined us in September 2020. Torie's Mom and Dad could no longer care for her financially. She was a sweet little girl, but it took her awhile to get comfortable with us. She didn't care for the other dogs, but loved to be in our laps. It didn't take her long to capture our hearts. How could anyone resist that face?

Torie is enjoying her loving home with her Mom Amanda in Michigan.

Addie (Yorkshire Terrier) joined us in December 2019. Addie's breeder passed away unexpectedly and she left a note requesting that we take her dogs into our care. Addie was a very frightened little girl. She remained with us for quite some time as we showered her with love and watched her as she began to realize that life was good and she was loved. She was an amazing little girl and we loved her so.

Addie is the one and only and is being showered with love by her Mom Hazel in Michigan.

Sydney (Shih Tzu) joined us in September 2018. Sydney was a retired breeder. She was so unsure of the world and dropped to her belly whenever approached. She won our hearts quickly. We worked for quite some time with Sydney until we felt she was ready to find her home. We are thrilled she has found such a wonderful home and know she will be happy forever!

Sydney has won her Mom Kim's heart and loves her pupster brothers George and Frank in Illinois.

Our sweet Sydney left all of those who loved her and crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 26, 2024.

Deuce and Malcolm (Australian Terriers) joined us in May 2020. The boys were found as strays and taken to a shelter. The shelter placed them with families three times and they were returned each time due to behavioral issues. They had a lot to work through, but responded quickly to our love. Patience was the key and giving them their space and not asking too much of them too quickly worked well. They left for their wonderful home still a bit unsure of themselves, but ready to share their lives with their Dad.

Deuce and Malcolm have taken over their Dad John's bed, furniture and most important of all his heart in Canada.
